What is the Resident FAQ for?

THIS FAQ IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

These are questions and answers we commonly hear from residents about the subdivision, its history, and many other issues not related to subdivision’s governance.

What can be done about cars speeding through the neighborhood?

Can we get speed bumps installed?

No. Our subdivision’s roads are public roads, maintained and regulated by St. Louis County Department of Transportation. They will not put up speed bumps because of the impact to snow plows.

Can parking be restricted to one side of the street?

Roads are managed by St Louis County Department of Transportation and the decision is theirs.

When we have contacted them in the past about this, they have said…..

There is a pot hole on my street. How does it get fixed?

Report it to St Louis County Department of Transportation (link/314-615-8538)

Can we get sound walls installed by the highway?

Placement of sound walls are managed by MoDOT, so ultimately the decision is theirs.

When residents have contacted MoDOT about this in the past, they have been told……..

Can I park in the parking lot down at the park?

The park and parking lot are private property managed by the Board of Directors.

Park at your own risk. You can park in the parking lot in the day. Parking overnight is not allowed.

Emergency short-term parking is permitted only at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Contact the directors if you have a special request.

Vehicles found not in compliance may be towed without notice.

Can I get a street light installed near me?

This is possible, but the burden of work in on the residents that are requesting it.

Request to fund the street light installation and electrical bills can be made to the Board of Directors for future consideration.

Can anything be done about commercial vehicles parking in the street?

Contact the St. Louis County Police Department non-emergency line at 314-889-2341

What do yearly subdivision assessments cover?

Common ground maintenance, including grass mowing.

Insurance for the common ground

Electricity for the subdivision street lights

Tax filings with the State of Missouri

Supplies and space for periodic subdivision meetings

Can I build a fence on my property?

Yes. See this section in the Bylaws regarding limitations

Someone rifled through my car overnight. What do I do?

This happens from time to time in the subdivision. There are no known instances of anyone forcing their way into a vehicle (ex: breaking a window or forcing the door. Simply locking your vehicle doors every day should prevent most of this activity.

Criminal activity needs to be reported to the St. Louis County Police Department.
